ABOUT THE PARISTOWN SALON
The Paristown Salon is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Louisville, KY influenced by the French Salons formed throughout the 17th and 18th centuries. Often sited as “the birthplace of the Enlightenment Era,” these gatherings were always held under the roof of an inspiring host. Salons were partly held to entertain and amuse, as well as showcase art to refine the taste and increase knowledge of the participants. Lively and inspired conversations were central to a Salon atmosphere with some of history’s most notable thinkers taking part in these world-altering exchanges.
At the Paristown Salon, we continually strive to be an inspiring host to all who visit our community. Your contribution helps support the clean, safe and hospitable atmosphere you, and your family and friends are welcome to enjoy. The 1% voluntary donation at all Paristown establishments also provides funds for community education related to a wide variety of topics including the arts, gardening, sustainability and community service. Community-wide engagement opportunities that bring exciting creativity and new ideas to the public sphere will also be a hallmark of The Paristown Salon, which exists solely for the betterment of the Paristown area, with 100% of donations supporting that purpose.
